Well, the Vikings where triumphant they beat Duval with a 3-2 win. Mainly with 3 clumps that knocked the wind out of Duval. Ronnie has come on a lot since the Shelfanger days his shooting is very good. Once the grin sets in you know you are in trouble.
From Diss Express 15th July
A SIGNIFICANT match
took place last week
as the two local
competitors clashed in the
Darby Trophies Norfolk
Petanque League.
The teams Diss Duval
and Diss Vikings
are each fighting for
the best position in the
running league. They
are very equal but this
time "the sun
shone" on the Vikings who
won 3-2 with the points
52 against Duvals 40 .
points.
In the triples the
Vikings Linda Forder,
Robin Coe and Ken
Roberts won over Duval’s
Jan Barsby Dave Marsh
and Margaret
Haunton 13-8.
The other triple had
the Vikings Shirley Coe,
Trevor Forder and
Ronnie Bartrum win over
Duval's Roger True,
John Barsby and Peter
turner with 13 to 5.
In the doubles the
Vikings Linda Forder and
Ronnie Bartrum won over
Duval’s I John Barsby
and Peter Turner13-I.
There were losses to
the Vikings in the two
remaining doubles as
the Vikings Robin Coe
and Trevor Forder lost
to Duval’s Ian Barsby
and Dave Marsh 5—13
and the Vikings Shirley
Coe and Ken Roberts
lost to Duval’s Margaret
Haunton and Roger True

All in all a good night
for the Vikings.
What is CLUMP? its when the opposing team manages to get 4 or more in one go.
